So, my boyfriend Michael is currently about to begin his last semester of Graduate School for Environmental + Transportation Planning and I’m in charge of branding him for future employment. It’s a tough job market out there, so we thought it would be great to give him some killer marketing materials including a resume, business cards, and potentially a leave behind of some sorts. The thing is, no matter WHAT profession you’re in, it doesn’t hurt to have good branding.
Now let me tell you : this board is extremely Michael. It was actually really fun to work with him on picking out images that “fit” the aesthetic we’re going for. We’re calling this look Moonrise Kingdom-esque with a bit of quirk. We’ll be working on this one faster than normal, so I hope to share the final results with you shortly!

couldn’t agree more that no matter what your industry is, branding is super important. people outside of the ‘creative’ industries often sneer at anything too ‘designer-y’ but the truth is that everybody gets a subconscious first impression of a brand / person / company / potential client / potential employee… based on their visual presentation. i am currently working on my own branding so hav been thinking about this a lot…
