READING Nubby Twiglet wrote a great post on the balance between blogging about your personal life vs your chosen niche. It goes hand in hand with what I wrote earlier this week about finding your niche, so definitely check this post out, too. It’s FULL of great information!

THINKING ABOUT how I can make my business run more smoothly. I’m testing out Apollo and Siasto with my clients for project management. PLUS, I’m even starting to think about adding positions to my business. I’m not ready to get into detail on that just yet, but trust me that I’m heavily planning and am oh so excited about the possibilities!

LOVING cassie of The Veda House’s recent pins. Well, I’m in love with her entire pinterest feed, if we’re being honest. She has such a consistent and stylish eye for great design, fashion, and so much more. Definitely check it out. I promise you’ll be scrolling for a long time!

LOOKING FORWARD TO valentine’s dinner tonight with Michael!! I always look forward to food, ha. Anyway, we’ve had Italian food on V-Day for the past, oh, four years, so we’re switching things up! Mexican at Rojo Grill in West End it is! I plan on getting stuffed. We could only get reservations at 4:30, so we’ll be dining like old folk, but that’s okay. I’ll take it!

  1. Thank you for mentioning Apollo & Siasto! I’ve been trying out Basecamp for my client projects lately and generally I like it but there are some things that frustrate me organization- and presentation-wise. Have you tried that out yet? I’m looking forward to playing around with these other two!

No problem! I actually have tried out Basecamp and it’s a good option, too. But as far as presentation goes, I’m not a fan of their interface, which just makes me super picky. Ha! I have heard from other Basecamp users who say Apollo has WAY MORE features that they need. So although I can’t compare them quite yet, that’s the word on the street!

Have you checked out Mavenlink? We have been super happy with it and they keep introducing awesome features. The nice thing too is it also integrates invoicing, which makes it easy to keep everything in one place. Our favorite feature is the timetracking as it helps us see if we are on budget with our projects. You should check that one out too.

Adding positions!? Woohoo, I can’t wait to hear more. Crossing my fingers. :)
