My new designer, Maddy Nye, ALSO happens to be one of the Ship & Shape founders — an online shop filled with beautiful pieces from designers + artists. They recently just launched their new Spring / Summer collection along with a newly designed website, so I wanted to share some shots with you all! Everything has a very handmade undertone paired with a nicely fresh vibe.

I’m definitely loving all of the stationery, but also the key fob + these bracelets. So good! Feel free to check out the rest of their new products right here and take a look around. There’s a little something of everything — for everyone, which is always a plus. Cheers to your new collection, ladies!!

I’m very excited to share with you all a recent ( as in yesterday ) project launch for Emily Scott of Em the Gem. I have absolutely adored working with this lady to come up with the perfect brand for her business. You can check out our initial moodboard right here – and notice how influential the top left image actually became. Such a beautiful palette! The overall aesthetic is very fresh, classic, & simple.

Pictured above is a little snippet from her pricing guide, which is chalk full of beautiful imagery. I’ll have to share more screenshots from that once I get around to updating my portfolio ( hopefully soon!! ) with new projects. And below are a few shots of her new portfolio / blog / website, which was coded by the lovely Zoe Rooney. Personally, my favorite is the landing page … which has a unique layout with interesting positioning. I had such a BLAST working on this one. Seriously. You can see it in its entirety right here. And finally – in the works – are her business cards, which I hope to share with you all very very soon after printing! Cheers to your new brand launch, Em.

I spent the weekend in Chicago with two of my best friends and had an absolute blast. I tried really hard to actually lug my camera around with me wherever we went to document little snippets of the windy city. Although we had CTA passes, we walked around the majority of the time — which is always a favorite thing of mine to do in a new city. We saw more, and hey, burned off all the SERIOUS calories we took in ( at least, that’s the hope ).

On Saturday, we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo for a few hours and enjoyed the animals + people watching galore. We were particularly proud of our matching attire for the day. Chambray for the win. We attempted to research nice italian restaurants for the evening, but ended up eating at our second deep dish pizza joint of the weekend. First night was Giordano’s. Second was Gino’s East. Our consensus was loving Giordano’s just a little bit more.

I’ve always found travel ( no matter how near or far ) to be one of the most calming + mind opening opportunities. It’s been a goal of mine to do it more, so I couldn’t be more happier to have had such a blast with these two this weekend. It was the kind of weird / hilarious / perfect reunion we needed. Until next time, Chicago … and thank you for not denting my rear bumper this time around.

I thought I’d share a recent branding process I worked on with Emily of Gem Photo — soon to be Em The Gem. We’re currently finishing up her website, so we haven’t technically launched yet. While the official new brand is a little different than what’s seen in this collection, I thought I’d share insight into SOME of the other presented options that didn’t make the cut. A peak behind the scenes, if you will. You can see the moodboard for this project right here and notice that we put heavy focus on a script that was both bold + modern. Plus, we ended up with a killer color palette that we both couldn’t be more excited about.

I absolutely cannot wait to share the rest with you all, seriously. The website concept is very out of the box and uniquely beautiful, so you can bet I’ll let you know as soon as that happens along with a full brand look. But until then, here is the official sneak peak!

breanna rose / wantlist

I wasn’t going to do a wantlist post this week, but after finishing up my work early yesterday & living through another snowstorm outside in APRIL, I needed to think about something warmer. Spring. I don’t know where it is or when it will for sure grace us here with its presence, but I can assure you that I’ll be outside for its arrival. Heck, I’ll probably get real midwestern and wear short sleeves in sixty degree weather. But for now, I’m dreaming about dresses, skirts, and cute sandals. Cheers to a hopefully* great weekend, everyone!
